I have to work Fri Sat Sun this year, so I can't go on the weekend. BUT, since I work part time for the speedway, I may get paid to be there Wed night into Thurs morning, and will just have to take a little free tour .

As far as A1A, the strip is usually packed. I like to hit Bel Air plaza in Ormond, or a lot of the hotels have mini shows in their lot. I haven't seen a F-body specific show, but let me know too!

I work at the Salty dog in the Bel Air plaza. that place is pretty packed every year. Lots of cool cars in there. Nothing f-bod specific though. Stop into the shop and say hi., I would really like to see your cars.

at the spring show this year, we were told that the BelAir Plaza was not going to allow peeps to cruise there anymore. seems the owners got too many complaints from the merchants along with having to hire off-duty police. we were told that there will be a cruise-in area setup in a big lot near the airport, complete with parking and a burnout box. this sounds nice, but i'm guessing there will still be full-scale, bumper-to-bumper cruising on A1A like usual. the 3 POCI chapters in florida are holding a joint event at the Rod Run where we'll all be parking together. there will be food, lots of great classic and late model pontiacs, as well as coverage from Smoke Signals magazine. i'll be there all weekend with my 74 Formula 455. i think we're parking in the northwest corner of the show area. hope to see some CZ peeps stop by and say hi.

Thumbs up

I'm going again this year, went last year, it was my first(only 17 at that time, now 18)I totally loved it, this year I get to drive my Z28 down, a friend with a T/A is going too, we have 4 cars going, mine(2000 Z28), 99 T/A, 67? Mustang, and a 66 Nova, we're staying at the Ramada Limited on A1A, same place we stayed last year, nice view of the Beach and the Strip. If anybody wants to meet up down there or even up here in Jax. I'm up for it. Oh yeh, if anybody knows anybody with a White SS with the centered exhaust that went down there, I want to congradulate them on the burnout I got on tape!!

Rumair: It wasn't so much the merchants from what I understand. We all love the car guys cause it brings us money. Not to sound shallow but its true.

Anyways its the owner of the plaza that doesn't want it. But **** what can she do about it"? Nothing thats what. If a ton of cars want to park in here then so be it. Can't tow them all. And noone would want to tow just a few for fear of asskicking I am sure.

Besides if you shop in the plaza then you have a legitimate reason to park there and can't give you **** for it.

I say everyone just park in there. I don't think its going to be a problem really. Afterall, "you can't stop the bumrush"
