Transmission rebuild needed where to go??

My 94 A4 is starting to slip under WOT seems to be in the 3rd gear kind of partially slips then shifts, this is at about 3k-4k rpms.

Where in Orlando, FL area can I get this rebuilt? and how much can I expect to pay?

I only plan on 400 horsepower rebuild this spring...that is if I can find a shop that has experience with LT1's

Thanks

Ken's Performance is the hot ticket in Orlando. Give Ken Wells a call at 407-839-6129. Probably going to be in the $1,500 range.

Re: Transmission rebuild needed where to go??

Not that i reccommend them at all (theyre customer service sucks complete *******), but aamco gave me a "pro-rebuild" on my Z for like 1700 bucks. Part of the rebuild was that they restalled my converter and now it stalls to like 2200rpms. This was 3 years ago... so far no probs...

Re: Transmission rebuild needed where to go??

Kens Performance gave me a very stock rebuild price of 1450; I checked with aamco the service manager has a Z28 and shot me a GREAT price with a better internal parts updrade list for 1400, sunshell upgrade, 13 clutch layers etc.. SO I am pretty sure I am going with aamco..Thanks for everyones input..

Re: Transmission rebuild needed where to go??

That guy "Mad Dog Lou" has them listed on ebay for a lot less. Might be worth buying it from him and paying for an install. He just quoted me $1295 for my 96 Z71.

Re: Transmission rebuild needed where to go??

THANKS!

I did a Mad Lou search not Mad Dog, anyway, looks like the punisher is going to be just what I need. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
