Took it to the track tonight

Well I finally got it to the track. Ran 3 times. It felt like I was spinning all the way down the track every time but after leaving the track and on the highway I stepped on the gas in 6th gear and the clutch was slipping like mad. I was really disappointed at the times till I realized why it felt like I was spinning all the way down the track. It was actually the clutch slipping. So all in all I achieved a best of 13.99@101 with a 2.6 60 ft.

The track is closed till January 15th and I plan on installing the clutch and a LT4 cam kit the weekend of the 11th.

Sorry to hear about the clutch. What clutch are you going to do? Let us know how you do with the install, Like to see how much you increase on the hotcam kit. I will be putting mine in probably around Feburary.
Hey if you need someone to tune that beast of yours for the hotcam, check out www.pcmforless.com he is having a group buy right now if we can get more people together by the 23rd ( monday ) we can get the cars tuned for 100 bucks each. that goes for I belive all models up to 1995 ? if you need info email me I'll hook u up. I'm gonna get mine tuned now to save some bucks , rather then waste 50-75 bucks in Feburary.
he has a 6 month period you can send it back as many times as you want to get it changed if you want thigns changed.

I HATE LS1's just kidding of course... I was at the track last night with my friends 02 Black SS. He has a K&N, SLP AIT Sensor and a Grantelli MAF, on street tires and he ran 12.81 at 108.7 ARGGGGGG. He gets his wisper lid and direct ram air who knows what he'll run then. I WANT AN LS1!!!!!!!!!! Sorry had to vent. I am putting tons of money in my LT1 here so I better be faster than him hehehehe you all will see...

I allready have a programmed OBD1 PCM in the car. All I have to do is pay for shipping to have it re programmed for the hotcam. It cost me $222 including shipping to have it done the first time. I thought that was a pretty good price and the guy helped me troubleshoot the car for about 3 weeks and sent me another PCM just in case and did not charge me a dime extra.

I am installing the clutch next weekend if anyone wants to get a first hand look at doing it. I am installing a star stage III.
