speedo and shift problem

I was cleaning my car yesterday and used some Engine degreaser and cleaner to clean the engine area. I have a Jet SCU 2000 in the engine compartment. When I started up my car to run an errand, the speedo isn't working(won't move) and the car doesn't shift out of second gear (the 1st to 2nd shift only happens after it hits 5500 rpms). I put my scan tool on the car and it pulled a 502 code which is the vehicle speed sensor low voltage. Is it because I got the SCU wet, or just a fluke that the VSS went bad.

Re: speedo and shift problem

Funny, But Yes I did. One of the first things I checked. And I did pull each one out to make sure they were in working order..
