No, it's you. I would say just buy a V8, but you would break more stuff, and probably would not be much faster. I was telling someone the other day about some guy doing like 14's with a V6...

Damn Eric just imagine what you could destroy if you had a V8. Sorry to hear about your continuing troubles and I hope it is nothing major.

If you want you can have the LT1 that is about to come out of my car for a very reasonable price.

Re: So I managed to break something in the drivetrain... again...

Thanks guys not too worried I mean I am rough on cars and put some hard miles on them I mean I think this car has like 400 passes at the track on it. Bound to be breaking stuff.

haha eddie if I go v8 I am going with an ls1, specifically a '00 ls1 computer system setup, its easier to wire into my car if I do a convert.

but unfortuneatly I won't have the money to do any of that if I have to spend much to get this thing runing agian.

Re: So I managed to break something in the drivetrain... again...

So who wants to let me co-drive their f-body at MSCC knowing my luck with f-body drivetrain parts?

j/k if I am not there in my car this sunday it means its costing me money and I am not going anyways

still not sure, I have the car on stands, rear sagging and I cannot get the driveshaft out. Going to jack the rear up to ride height and see if it comes out but I don't remember having any trouble pulling the driveshaft at the current ride height last time though.

To steal an acronym from Keliente's website, use a BFP (big effin' prybar). Me & Mike had a bastard of a time getting his driveshaft off; his car is from up North. Be gentle, but just pry it off dude. I'm assuming you can't get it off the yoke? Mike's was just kinda rusted on there a little.

Thing is its not rusted on the yolk...

driveshaft was put in 2 months ago. Garaged half that time. I can move the u joint around, its just as if the front of the driveshaft won't fo in.

I have a feeling I trashed another t5 in a bad way.

if its anything but the 10-bolt I'll probably be selling off a bunch of crap and stop racing for a bit.

Sorry to hear about your problem man, but I can relate all too well.

There's something messed up in my driveline too, yet again, along with a multitude of problems that popped up in the last 2-3 weeks.

If I could do it again...

...I probably wouldn't.

Too bad Mercedes-Benz didn't put our cars together.

If it's any consolation, your old 94 is now over 165K miles and going strong. Still the same clutch too.

Re: So I managed to break something in the drivetrain... again...

You know, I was gonna post "If you're having trouble with the front of the driveshaft you're screwed" but I figured nah, that wouldn't happen. If it makes you feel better I'll take you for a ride in my car. My rear differential is louder than my LT's/ORY/TSP Rumbler. It's really bad.
