Post selling your z28?

I finally sold my v6 last night and now I am looking for a z28. How many local people are selling your z28's? If you have a webpage for it, post that too.

I've seen DTK's posts on the boards and it looks like a very good deal considering the mods its got, but I'm looking for something a little less modified I guess.

My price range has a max of roughly 10k, so enough for a good LT1 but about 3-4k short of an LS1.

My milage goals are a car with a max of 65k miles, cause thats what my car I just sold had on it. I don't wanna sell my old car just to buy a new car with more miles...

Even though those are very nice Trans Am's, I think I'm more in the market for a z28. I'm going to be going around to the different dealers today and see what they've got.

I went to Bill Heard chevrolet yesturady and when the pack of wild salesmen jumped me they asked if I'd be co-signing with a parent. As soon as I told them I was paying cash they all seemed to run away. Stupid sales people...

I'd really recommend DTK's Z28. I've ridden in his car for short and long rides. Anywhere from a five minute ride to dinner, to all day goofing around in Orlando (we came over from Melbourne). This thing is stone ax reliable, kept in great condition and is worked on religiously by someone who lives and breathes these cars. It has everything you need to get started with a beautiful project (except the power adder) and starts everytime and rides great. At least drop him an email and ask a few questions. He does NOT beat on his vehicles and it's hasn't been a ragged out drag beast. You may be surprised and if your looking for a car to go fast in, save yourself the money and start here. I wish I knew that before I go the speed itch. Take care and good luck in your search.

Well I went out today with every intention of looking at cars and absoultly had no plans to buy... but I still came home with a z28.

Got a 1995 z28 at Bill Heard Chevrolet, a4, electric everything, t-tops, black, brand new tires, for 7500. I think I got a very good deal, especially from a dealer. Only thing I can say is holly **** its a huge difference between the v6 and the v8.

yep i've been thinking about going up there. I've got a friend that took his el camino up there tonight to see what his new tranny will run with his rebuilt motor. I should have gone up w/him because I havn't got a clue what to do

I've got a sizable amount of cash left over because I got the car less than I thought I would, so I'm spending about half on repair/fixes and the rest on mods. Is there a good place to listen to other z28's with various exhaust systems? Would the SnS show be a good place to do this or are most of those cars parked?

I went there on Easter Sunday looking for a new Z28, and the salesmen did the same thing to me. Z28s have really gone up in price in the past 5 months. Every Z28 at Bill Heard had leather and an automatic and was around $28,000. A friend of mine bought a new Z28 in '99 (not from BH) for just under $24,000 out the door.

I told the salesman EXACTLY what I wanted, and his manager said he'd look one up on his computer, I waited there for a half-hour and he never came back to me. I wasn't impressed by their service at all.

I'm just going to keep looking for used LS1s until I find exactly what I'm looking for.
