Hi, I'll try to make this quick. I bought a set of heads on Ebay (auction number 7991327829). It was for a pair of AFR 180cc heads and I paied a total of $975. The money order has been cashed since 8-31-2005 and the seller has fallen off the face of the earth ever since then. I have called, but his cell phone has been disconnected and won't return any e-mails. The seller lives in Orlando, FL. His name is Tony Pastoree and apparently works or owns a place called Top Shelf Auto and maybe Above The Rest Cleaning. The address for the latter business is 2914 Villa Dr; Orlando, FL 32810. If anyone knows who this guy is, please help me. I have filed claims with Ebay, Square Trade, and the IFCC. Ebay will refund your money...but only up to $175, which leaves me donating $800 to this guy, I will offer a $100 reward to information about Tony that leads to me getting the heads I purchased or my money back in full. Also, if anyone has a set of heads similar to these for about the same price let me know.

Im sure someone here atleast drives by that shop and can stop in and see what's up. Actually, if you want to PM/e-mail me your full name and address I'll go in there and ask where "my" heads are. Just an idea.

I dont buy anything without paypal anymore because I have been in the same situation. I will check around for you and see. There is a performance shop here in Deland(or possibly Orange City)that just went out of business recently. I will check to see if it is the one you mention. Probably more likely a fly by night deal that is run from some guys apartment. I bought a car like that recently and ended up losing my money.

I looked up the address on Mapquest and that is not a very good area of town so I wish you luck. I won't be on that side of town anytime soon or I would take a look. For any other locals reading this it's over near Edgewater Dr. & Forrest City Rd.

 

Jeff, I lived in Altamonte for like 10 years. That's not that bad a part of town, you have to farther down 441 to get to the crappy part of it. It's not a great part of town either.

I looked up this guy's name and the names of his businesses on the local property appraiser's site to try and find him and I couldn't find anything. I also tried the comptroller (same as the county clerk) and found nothing there either. The address you gave is a house owned by "Noretta V Davis". Looks bad man. Any recourse through the money order? Might want to call the cops and see if there's any help there.

Actually I believe that is considered a federal offence if he cashed your money order and you didn't get your "goods" in returne, something along those lines. All I know is that is really bad if you cash a money order and do not full-fill your end.

 

Yeah Eddie knows it's bad. From experience. He spent 2 years in the pokey for it. He would have been in there longer but he kept drunkenly trying to pee in the parking lot so they kicked him out. And then he puked in the back seat of somebody's Honda. Damn it.
