Pic's inside of my OSW car wreck

I took the Z out to the track for the first time tonight. This was my third run of the night, the car was running ok, I was having traction issues w/ my nittos so the two other runs were 13.10/13.05 at 105mph. I was running against my friend in his Ram Hemi. I was on the tower side (left side) nearing the end of the track when all of a sudden the car made a sharp right turn into the right guard rail doing almost 100mph. My friend was way behind me so he had enough time to stop. After i hit the right guardrail, i bounced off and hit the left guardrail, and then I came to a stop. I didn't hear anything snap or break loose, I think I hit some oil at the top of the track that caused the car to loose control. Once I felt the car start to loose it there was nothing I could do but hold on and wait for the impact. I tried to control the vehicle and come to stop but going that fast it was useless. I was able to drive the car off the track and actually made the 3 miles to my house from the track. The airbags didn't go off, but the two front fenders, hood, driver headlight, front nose, radiator, possibly tie rods/control arms and right rear quarter are all trashed. I am ok, just really frustrated. The car can be fixed but for those that love your cars like I do mine you can imagine the feelings i'm going through. Thanks to those board members that stuck around after the crash. I will start tearing the car down next week to make sure the accident wasn't car related. It's gonna be a while before this is fixed because it's coming out of my pocket. Plus the fact I just got the car back together after the tranny went out. I feel for you brother. At least you're alright. Others in similar wrecks have suffered a more tragic fate.

Best wishes.

You are lucky to be ok, I have seen some bad stuff happen near the traps.

Yeah I saw the whole thing man, down from the staging lanes. It's just great you're ok. Cars can be fixed.

yeah sorry about your car...

paint still looked deep and pretty even with teh damage...

If you think about it you came out pretty well, not many people do well after a wreck at 90-100 mph...

The car took it like a champ, may not be too rediculous to fix, Btw not sure if you saw but there was fluid like some one was leaking real bad, past the ticket dispensing booth, for a bit maybe someone leaked something on the track...

Wow, that sucks. Kinda makes me think twice about going to the track tomorrow night. I was going to go but now I think I will skip it.

If you need any help let me know what days you are working on it and I will swing by to help.

I heard traction was an issue for everyone last night. I am sorry about your car. Sure you can not run it in to insurance and say you hit a guard rail.

If you need any help I like dismanlting things.

someone DEFINANTLY had a massive oil leak, it was all over lane 6.

it was a relief to see when we ran up there to see what happened that you were walking around ok... from the staging lanes it looked real bad.

Im not running there again, there was fluid at the timing shack, and oil all over lane 6. That place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
