still trying to figure out what to do with EGR....

ohh well ran a personal best like 2 weeks ago, maybe I had the problem then too...

 

Washed the car since I spilled some gas on the side of it filling it up this afternoon. Then I didn't want to take it out and get it dirty. What a puss! Besides, I filled the tank not thinking.

 

had a decent night... had to get out of the first few runs so they wouldnt bitch about not having a helmet. then ran a 13.7 so about average.

well tonight was an interesting night. i ran my car full weight, freshly filled tank of gas, tools in the back seat, even had the repair manual back there.

first run, not even really trying and fully not expecting to run below 14.1's, i ran 13.765 @ 99.78 with a 1.998 60' time... with a passenger!

then the timeslip wench said i couldn't run anymore without a helmit, and no more passengers. next run i hit the brakes halfway down and ran a mid 15. that run doesn't count

third run, ran by myself and it was my last run so i was going to go full out. no one mentioned helmits to me though... traction seemed to be pretty good, and ran a new best of 13.665 @ 100.82mph w/2.038 60' ...

so, holly sh*t... did much better than my previous best of 13.9 with the addition of a hooker catback and a tuneup (opti, plugs, wires, coil, etc etc)

1.998 60' on street tires at 33psi at OSW... omg

tonight was a fun night. all my runs were against the same car (badassed93z). for some reason they wouldn't put either of us up against anyone else except for the same makes ... i wanted to go against that completly riced out celeca (huge aircraft aluminum wing, phat graphix, etc etc) that was running 15.5's just for fun but no such luck.

 

yeah I got a new personale best.... Even with my EGR problems and occasional misfire down the track...

bumped me up to the second fastest 3.4L N/A, beating out a guy that had ported upper lower intake, prted heads, slicks and I think a cam, and a lt1 throttle body.

and lil' ole me with my stock blocked 3.4L

also got my best 1.8th mile times 9.97Xs, that was one of my goals for a year to get a sub 10 second 1.8th.

also did something else kinda wierd, I ran a 15.661, twice! I ran 15.661, twice, different times thorugh out the run but same trap time, what are the odds of that?

 

by the way my egr problem got a little worse the pipe back to the upper intake borke off so i now have a 2k rpm idle speed.

also, noticed while revvig my motor occasionally I will get a blue flame out the egr hole, that kinda cool but not next to my plugs and wires...

I"ll be working projection tommorrow maybe i cna park out back and work on my car there, jsut need to rember to bring my tools to work.

 

man i wish i went. i probably could have run a new best time of my own..... could have maybe hit a 16.5 or better haha. i was actually busy all day and remembered at about 7pm tonight, so i figured there was no point in cleaning out my car and removing my subs and spare tire since it would have probably been crowded at that point. if you guys plan another night when OSW opens back up i'll go.

 

so is it very possible for the rain on friday?

I would love to go back out i jsut need a 15.64XX and I will be happy.

 

I wish I coulda made it out last night, sounds like it was a good night. I might have a run a new best. Oh well, next time.
