Orlando area rock stations? am I missing something?

okay guys this is the question is there any radio stations in the Orlando area that play something other than top 40 rock radio OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

I lived in Boston and I listened to a station called WAAF they played alot of different things from Led Zep to Ramstein. AC/DC to Korn and the Besties.
here is the station website

http://waaf.com/

if anyone is interested in what I am talking about.

the playlist is currently

It's About Time Van Halen

and they play what I said in between up top and also..Hendrix, Black Sabath, and Guns and F'in Roses!

Basically I love all rock and WAAF filled that need. is there any station out there in Orlando that plays stuff like this??? besides 101.1 and 105.9 I have not found any rock stations that come close?

If you listened to AAF you would know what your missing the radio...heck I even miss WBCN in Boston. they are kinda like 105.9.

Just looking for something other than corperate alterna rock stations

and if anyone from MA can chime in and vouch for me or if you go up there trust me its a diffrent kind of station. one of the best free form formats around

Good luck. 101.1 gets better later at night usually. Other than that, I hardly listen to the radio anymore.

yea I listen then and its okay, they had a thing on AAF like that at 11 called the coffe break request. People would call up and request Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, the stuff requested here is the same stuff they play all day???? but mostly all "alternative stuff maybee old Janes Addiction or Pearl Jam.

ohh and by the way there is a station up in N.H. that is called Rock 101.1

http://www.rock101wgir.com/main.html

just as good as AAF too. It seams like Satalite radio is the way to go. Im not knocking the radio down here guys justfor the fun of it, I have giving it 7 months of listening to and it is nothing I am impressed with. Bored to hell about not having something like I had in New England. A little guns n Roses is a good thing or Hendrix between Slipknot keeps you entertained.

and a side note the Party 95.3 what is now power 95.3 talk about sucks..I like trance music and the week I get down here they change formats to hip hop????????? god damn. that blows. no other trance stations around. another thing about Boston on the weekend some of the rock stations would put trance on at night for a party mood. one station called FNX would put on Cyber sounds from 10 till 3 AM it rocked grrrrr

95.3 Party was good. Always switched to that when I was coming into Orlando. There is no $ to be made by playing some good stuff between the new stuff, thus no one does it. 101.1 was better IMO before they became "Real Rock" a few years back. They played a better variety then.

104.1... Real Radio... It is talk during the weekdays, but on the weekends they do "Real Music Weekends" and they play a good variety of 80's and 90's music.. It is the only station I listen to anymore, but that is also because I love the talk show segments...

Well I'm not from there, but I was up in Fall River, MA once, where you could pick up radio from both Providene and Boston. Lot fewer commercials, lot more variety. I hate Orlando radio now
