New Jet Hot Long Tubes LT1

NEW, never used, never installed Jethot Longtubes for LT1 Fbodys. They are very similar to Hooker Long Tubes but; these have three bolt collector flanages at the end, they have O2 bungs welded into them, and they have emission fittings (these can be plugged off if you aren't running emissions). They come with collector bolts and collector gaskets. I have detailed instructions on how to install them as well. Very pretty ceramic coated inside and outside (not just for looks, this keeps the heat in). $500 obo Located in Daytona Beach/Cocoa Beach areas.

SOLD

from what i have been told, their older version, fit quite nicely without having to move stuff around. but the new redesigned version, you pretty much need to drop the k member to put the driver side header on. if it was made back in early 03, then its not the new design.

Re: New Jet Hot Long Tubes LT1

EDIT: these DO come with the gaskets that go between the heads and headers! They are coated in & out with Jet-hot's STERLING finish (shiny-ceramic). Part number I believe to be JHD22310. The #1 primary is a slip fit so these are the original models put out by JET HOT and have a better fit than their newer models. Email me for pics. Yes I am the original owner of these and they've seen nothing but bunddled up box time.

i hope you dont actually go out of your way to drop the k-member, thats a waste of time. theyll slide right in from the bottom without moving anything, you just have to take out the back two spark plugs.

id really love to see that. myself and the few other guys who all have numerous header installs under our belts can tell you, the new ones wont just slide right in from the bottom. the slip fit runner doesnt clear the K-member. after we finished the install, we found a install site some guys put together that ran into the same exact problem.

Re: New Jet Hot Long Tubes LT1

I just put my Jet Hot LTs on in july, the driver side went in with ease, the passenger side was the problematic one, but with a little finesse it went right in as well. The only serious problems Ive had with them is routing the wires so they dont roast from the heat of the headers.

I've done several conversions. Some went in well, others didn't. Alot depends on the production tolerances of how the K member is installed in the chassis. Most often, the motor must be jacked up just a hair on the passenger side to slide them in.

Re: New Jet Hot Long Tubes LT1

yea, passenger side mount had to be loosened and engine tilted, but thats isnt really anything new. the driverside was just a PITA. we tried from the top and the bottom, took the valve cover off, rockers out, tilted it every which way...just didnt wanna go.
