Make sure to post up if you get a complete 3.42 rear, might be intersted in your 3.73 rear, even with bad posi.

Re: Need a rear

The only differenced, as far as I can recall, were gear ratio (for speedometer concerns), ABS / traction control (2 signal / 3 signal I think it's called) and drum to disk. It WILL bolt up but you might have problems with the other little stuff. I'm sure you can find a lot more info on this in the tech forums with the search feature.

Re: Need a rear

I heard that i cant use lt1 brakes due to the backing plates or something. I dont have traction control so thats not an issue, I almost hope I get outbid. I dont what to hassle with backing plates and all and the e brake is another issue.. I thought it was a direct bolt in...maybe i can just pull the posi unit out if it and just use that..

really? because I was eyeballing it, then noticed you were bidding on it, so I backed off.

Lightbulb Re: Need a rear

I have a 2.73 posi rear from a 1993 Z-28 that has approx 35,000 miles on It and it has been in storage. The rearend comes with a pallet for easy delivery and ancillary parts. Let me know if you would be interested. You can rent a U-haul truck for $19.00 and I can help you load and unload if needed. Raul 407-365-2950

Re: Need a rear

I got a complete rear from an LT1 Fbody laying in the back yard. Supposed to be 3.42s. You can have it, I just bought it for the rear brakes. I threw away two complete Ls1 3.42 rears after I stripped the brakes just a few weeks ago
