Post Need Prayer, friend wrecked his Camaro and is in a coma

My friend Mike Perez was driving home in his 94 Z from work Saturday night when he got in a bad car accident. We don't know exactly what happened but he has severe head injury. He is still in a coma and on a respirator. Our prayer is that the Lord miraculously heals him, he wakes up and has no permanent damage. We are loved by an incredible God and pray His will be done because we trust him as a dear friend. Please keep him in your prayers and I will keep this updated as I can.

Our prayers are with him.

Hey guys lets be extra careful out there. There has been an elevated number of bad and potentially bad accidents lately involving F-bodys.

I'll deffinately keep him in my prayers. I got into a really bad accident back in October of 2000, and I think the prayers of all my friends and family is what made my miraculas recovery possiable.

I was in a coma for six days, and the whole right side of my body was parralized from the impact. They acctualy didn't know if I was gonna make it, they even went so far as to tell my mother that if I did come out of a coma I wasn't going to beable to learn anything new; and that I most likely wouldn't beable to walk, I was going to be parralized. But here I am, I really do think that its because of all my family and friends prayers that I'm still here, I will deffinately keep him in my prayers.

Thumbs up

Well I have good news! He is coming out of it. He nodded when Pastor Rob asked him something, then Rob asked him to nod again if he actually heard him. He did. He asked him then to try to open his eyes (to make sure the nodding wasn't from something else) and he did. He got one open then they told him to rest. They are operating on him (for the plastic surgery of rebuilding his cheek) from 7:00-10:00am tommorrow. He then is supposed to be moved out of intensive care so his friends and I will get to see him. I will update this tommorrow.

Thanks to everyone again for your prayers and thoughts

I work with a chick at Target that knows him. She is praying and asking others there to as well. Word of the accident has spread rapidly and we all are concerned for him. I'm glad to hear he has become responsive.

Well, the surgery went great today and he even talked to us some. He was still affected by the anethesia though. It looks like he will pull through. Now we just need to pray for a full and speedy recover. Thanks for your prayers! I'll keep you updated.

Brutus, you know Christina? Cool, she is a really nice girl.
