a better driver

get that 60' down to 2.0 and you'll be pulling 14.0's and 13.9's

HahHah--my thoughts exactly Anasazi. All 4th gens should at least hit high 13s. Its not a Mustang for cripes sake.

just work on the 60' its not bad but if I can pull a 2.106 on an open diffy, bald factory 235s... I think a 2.0 is reasonable for you with LSD, and decent street tires.

which woudl put you possible in 13s...

Makes you feel any better my 1st few times out I was getting 2.3-2.4 60's wasn't used to going back to an open diff...

Seeing how that was your first time at the track and how most LT1s are high-13 and low-14 second cars, your time isn't bad and can only improve with practice.

The first time I went to the track, I found out my brake booster was going bad that night, I also didn't know how to properly launch my car, and wound up with a best of 14.0@102 because I kept hitting the brakes before the traps.

You actually got closer to your car's average times than me, I'm about a second slower.

Practice ont he launch and get better tires if possible.

I went to the track wednesday for the first time in my car and only managed a 14.135 @ 98.27 thats with 2.2 60' times .Detailed times here . And thats with Shorty headers, cat back, and CAI. I also have 275/40ZR18 Kuhmo that suck ***. I cat hit the gas and do a burn out with out movign forward inch with no brakes lol.

You should be able to get atleast a 14.1 or 14.0 cus our 60' times and MPH are the same. Once you hit a 2.0 60', you shoudl have your 13's

Don't take it personally like that, it does take practice.

In my honest opinion, I would rather take the time to learn how to be a better driver than spend money to load my car up with mods to get the time I'm after to compensate for my bad driving skills.

yeah don't you are not going to get a good time first time out... launch is completely different then anywhere else...

I managed to get improved times everytime I went to the track over a period of 5-6 trips... Jsut a little more practice each time helped out
