It may be in my mind, but I SWEAR my car feels faster!

Tyler came out to my house a couple weekends ago and did some work on my car. By the end of the afternoon the T/A had a new 1LE alum. shaft with SLP Loop, Amsoil in the tranny, the "Tyler Special" TB bypass, and a 160 thermostat. It may all be in my head, but I swear my car feels faster. I mean like at least a tenth and 2 MPH faster gauged by my butt-o-meter. Does anyone think the combined items all at once could make enough difference to feel? It actually feels like a 6spd LS-1 I drove one time. Well almost anyway.

Thanks again Tyler!

Unless he snuck a cam in, I doubt it. Not in this heat also.

i vote the other way, I say the 160 t-stat & TB bypass lowered overall engine temp, and the removal of ~200 degree engine coolant from the TB (and thereby heat soaking the intake) lowers your intake charge temp, and should allow more air in.

those LT1's run hot in the summer, and the emissions is set to make them heat up (~210 before fans come on, right?) at idle to run the cats clean & keep emissions down.

enjoy it, either way

the temp thing is doubtful..........my car feels faster in the heat

i think the real difference is the aluminum driveshaft.

it is lighter so that the car can rev faster...........less weight to spin.

Time slips >>> Butt-O-meter

Butt-O-metter > previous set up = be happy and enjoy the ride.
