Cool Looking to relocate to Florida

Hello,
I am a fellow F-body owner looking to relocate to the Melbourne, Orlando, Gainesville, or maybe Panhandle Areas. I do Refrigeration/HVAC. I was looking for any leads or suggestions. I want to be able to drive my car year round!

Thanks,

Matt

Gainesville is very nice. Tons of good looking women. So if you are single it is great. Plus the drag strip is only a few miles outside the city limits.

melbourne area is the best of your listed choices.

well populated with plenty to do socially and work, close to the beach, far enough from orlando (tourists)

its a great place, just to warn, Gainesville is a little bit smaller then it is famous.

as for HVAC companies, my company uses Million-aire, and I see Del-Air all over the place, bigger companies to contact maybe.

Re: Looking to relocate to Florida

You can probably get a job anywhere doing HVAC, if you are experienced and good at it. Seems that here in FL, working AC is in high demand..

I live in Deltona. It is not as crowded and ugly as Orlando yet, and property is a lot cheaper yet nicer. You can buy a house in Deltona for 100k that in Orlando would cost ya 120k. And we are about 30 minutes from the worlds most famous beach, and 30 minutes from Orlando and all the "Fun Stuff" there. Great place to be if you have kids and want to raise them in a somewhat quiet area and still be close to the attractions.

well that's longer htan i've been alive so that probably means you're interested in different things socially.

i'm in my mid 20s and find there is TONS to do in the area. there is a VERY active young crowd in the area.

car cruises/shows, theaters, dance club (only couple...but decent), small local type bars, larger bars with dance floors, beach, good fishing, pool halls, dart leagues, pool leagues, softball teams

and you are 1hr from orlando and all it's touristy crap if you want it. plus you are 1hr from daytona for races and parties like spring break (if you're young). 1hr from Olando speed world drag way. a good community college with multiple campuses, satelite campuses of UCF, a great 4yr tech school (florida institute of technology), a decent small airport for flying out or if you want to learn to fly

I don't know Teke...I have been to the Keys 5 times in the last 18 months, and that is my idea....nice and laid back with a huge party atmosphere when you want it. Plus, I tasted flight off of water, and it is cool.....

Thumbs up Re: Looking to relocate to Florida

I will be in Florida tommorrow to check out the area till Saturday. All I need is a good school for my daughter, a decent neighborhood, an ok job , and of course access to a drag strip. What else is there? Beach is ok too. Just cannot wait to drive the car all year round, sucks to have to hibernate in the winter up here!
