Looking to move down to Miami/Southeast Florida...
Hey all, I currently live in Massachusetts, and am really considering moving down to the Miami/southeast Florida area. When I was younger, I lived in WPB, and absolutely loved it. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administartion, as well as have management experience. Any booming industries or fields down there? I was thinking of looking at working for the government in some capacity. If I had a decent job set up[ down there, I'd be there already. Any help with this guys.

Stay north of Miami if you can. Big city, hable espanol, blah blah. WPB, Vero, even Lauderdale.
Plenty of jobs here. Get your foot in the door somewhere, move here, and then reevaluate your job. Exactly what I did, have changed a couple since, and have found an awsome little job!

Yeah, I just want to be close to Miami beach/ South Beach as well as Ft. Lauderdale, so in that area is where I'll be looking. I just don't want to make a move, not be able to find a decent job, and have to move back.
Re: Looking to move down to Miami/Southeast Florida...
They are here. I moved to Florida making like $20k a year as a medic. Taken a few years, but I am on a track to making 6 digits working for a friend and getting to fly often...and like no pressure....
I set my mind that I was moving, and just went for it. Have not looked back. My parents started their move this morning from Rochester NY to Hilton Head where my brother lives.
Go for it!

Never been to Mass. but I'm sure South Florida is better than there.....I just don't like the way of living down here, the high prices on everything, all the old people, and having to speak in my non-native language almost anywhere you go (although I can speak Spanish fluently, I hate talking to people in Spanish). I just like Central FLA better. But everyone has their own likes and dislikes! I do love the beaches down here tho!

Its ok... imo seeems like more of a car following in Orlando if that matters.
It seems more "high end" down there things cost more, more people with money. i guess its nice. More of a "club life" There are beaches but they get old imo.
hard to say I moved from ft. lauderdale to orlando when I turned 18 so havent really experienced south florida as an adult.

Re: Looking to move down to Miami/Southeast Florida...
They both have their good and bad. Florida has no inspections so I don't have to worry about my lack of cats, but the roads are all straight, flat, and populated by retards who don't know how to drive. Mass has awesome roads but I can't ride my motorcycle in the snow and I would have to pass inspection. I miss seasons. Man do I miss seasons. I have never gotten used to the heat in the summer down here in Orlando, and I've been down here since 1989. I think I would move back up there if it wasn't so incredibly expensive, and they have crappy laws when it comes to two things I really like: my f-body and firearms. Hey, anybody want to start a car club? F-bodies & Firearms! We could compete with Fuel **** for most awesome car club in O-town!

I'm just basically looking for a fresh start, just kind of getting tired up here. It's the same old same old everyday. Warm weather, beaches, beautiful women... what's not to like?

hoping not to offend anyone
miami = cubarico
Keys = Little Miami
white is the minority down here.
english is the second language. a coworker was told by her daugher's 3rd grad teacher that she was falling behind in class because she didn't speak any spanish.
ok...enough of my ranting
