L98 TPI Help

Long story short. I have a 1988 GTA with the L98. Previous owner gutted the cat, so I yanked the smog pump and accessories. Now the car has an intermittent part throttle hesitiation and sometimes idles rough. Other times the car runs 100%. Originally threw an O2 sensor code 13. Then threw a MAF code 33. I have replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, IAC, TPS, MAF, O2 sensor, ECM, fuel filter. Motor has about 6000 miles on it. Compression is 180 psi every cylinder, idle vacuum is 22mm/hg, fuel pressure is 34 at idle, 42 with vacuum d/c'd, 42 at WOT, 70 with the return blocked, will hold pressure for at least 10 minutes after shut down. No codes right now. I need help! Car is getting ready to become a non-fuel injected vehicle. If you are reasonable and know the TPI, and are in east/ central FL, please email me!! ARGH!

Have you tried asking this question on www.thirdgen.org . They would probably be able to help you more. I've never touched a TPI car, so I wouldn't know what to tell you.

when you removed the AIR stuff, did you cap off the AIR tubes on the manifolds? with those open, they suck in fresh air causing a lean condition. this might throw the codes. you can bring it by my shop if you want. (407)295-7073. robert. also check out www.fl-thridgen.org there are plenty of us central florida 3rd gen guys to help you out.

I took it all off and capped it all up.

I am going to tear into it tonite and this weekend. I will try one more time to find out if something is broke or if I broke something, then I may take you guys up on your offers for help. There are no codes. I am just wondering if I hooked it up to like the GM Tech1 if it would tell me right away what is broken, or if that would be worthless.....
