they somehow conscripted me to jury duty during final exam week. how does one get out of it?

 

They should have a number you can call. Call them and tell them that they're dumbasses for asking you to do jury duty during your exams If you can't find anyone to get ahold of just don't go, and when they contact you after not going just tell them why you didn't go. I've never been called for jury duty, so I really don't know how the process goes.

 

Jury duty blows... call them.. they should let you off.. I'm 23 and have been twice... sucks.

If you are a student, there should be some way of getting out. Call them and tell them that you are a full time student and can't miss classes.

I got called for Jury duty over the summer, had my mom send the form to them telling them I am in college, since it got mailed to my house in ft. lauderdale.

 

Do not just ignore the request and not go. You would be guilty of contempt of court, and would at least be fined. Bad idea. Call them. They will let you off.

 

i got a notice to show up for jury duty on nov 26th, but the jackasses sent it to my old address at my mom's.

 

While being interviewed make racial slurs, or say your racist, etc.

I had jury duty about a month ago. Told them I had a test that I could not make up and was a full time student and full time worker-judge denied my reason. Luckily I did not have to show up b/c it got cancelled.

If I were you I would write something on the form saying you are prejudice/racist, they are guilty etc. Even though its not true you will definitely get off that way-obviously judges can be dic*s too and may not let you off for school purposes.
