I really need some front tires for my stang....I'm looking for 205/55/16's. the height can vary, but it has to be a 205/16, due to clearance issues with a k-member. prefer central florida area, will pick up if less than 70 miles and will pay with CASH! just something with decent tread left. i just need them to get me by until the summer.

I know you said you need 205. I have some 245 50 16 G-Force KDW's 2 of them with 35% tread left. $ 40.00 you can have em. Just trying to help.

Too tall, or too wide?

I have some 235/55/16's.

Same height as the 275/40/17's on the SS. Much narrower though.

 

hey chuck how much tread life left on the tires you mentioned? And is it all 4?

 

2 are about smoked. 2 are almost new.

but they are wider and taller than what he has now. 205/55-16 vs 235/55-16 and they are taller than the 275/40-17

not trying to kill a sale but not wanting him to get them and not fit either.

 

No prob. I missed where he said he was using 205/55/16's. All I saw was 205/16 which could be many different sizes. I figured they were probably too big for him but for any body else who's reading this...

 

i was able to score some from a used tire shop for a very good price....i don't condone getting them the way i did, but it works. i needed a 205/55/16 because it was the biggest tire i could use with out scrubbing the wheel wells in the front. my tubular k-member with stock A-arms moved the front wheels forward 15/16ths of an inch, which is quite drastic actually. thanks for looking out for me though guys.
