I had actually checked that place out when I was looking for an apartment, but I decided to go to The Village at Science Drive (used to be called College Suites). Heather Glen is on University a little past the Wendys, right? Its always cool to meet other F-body guys, especially around UCF. Shoot me an email if you just want to hang out sometime.

BE VERY CAREFUL OF THAT PLACE!

jsut a warning, I lived there the first time it ws open and had some serious problems, I think I still have my 10+ eviction notices on file. I heard the management has been completely changed so hopefuly its much better but the old management was horrible.

Watch the sprinklers, its reclaimed water form the cestpool... i mean lake around the pool, and the lake is the runoff from the parking lots. If it leaves water spots on your car clean it has soon as possible, do notwait aweek yoiu will be sitting ther for 4 hours with rubbing compound trying to get the stains off your hood. And the sprinklers there are horrible.

I bitched about it and started gettign them to sign a sheet about every time I complained about the sprinklers so maybe I cna sue them for a paint jobv or something, well thats when the eviction noitces started coming in. amazing how I got an eviction notice for loud noise, when 3 of my roomates were out of town and i was at my girfrliends place for a week. Or the time they changed our locks, and never bothered to tell anyone in the apartment(something I like to find out at 3 a.m. after drivng 8 hours on the highway)

At least they got of the creepy maintenance men who used to tell me they liked "to hang out by the pool then sneak off to the mens room" Something you want your maintenace men to say.

also had some kid in my class had a $400 bong, maintenace guy said we are taking it if oyu say anything we will claim you are smopking weed and get you evicted more shady stuff form the maintenace peoeple.

Back when they had hired security guards theycame up and yelled at my two roomates for laughing too loud at 10 PM on a friday night. It was jsut two of my roomates. But I think everyone signed a petition to get rid of them.

When Iw as there the internet never worked, never got lots of mail, even got some months later.

They lost my rent check 7 out of the 12 months i paid rent. Always get a receipt.

I hope the new mangaement fixed the problems, jsut keep on them, and talk to student legal services if you get problems.

MustangEater82: Thanks for the heads up. I've been living here since August and have not had any problems yet. The internet is a lot better now, than it was when I first moved in. I think the new managment is doing a better job. Also, I don't worry about the sprinklers, because I park far away from them, I tend to park far away from other cars too. Something I learned from my old high school days. This place is a whole lot better than the first place I lived at (Knights Krossing).

yeah i have old roomates that live there still they said the new management is alot better.

As for Northgate Lakes, I live there now, but I have spent less then 12 nights there, I pretty much stay at my girlfriend's place most the time.

i renewed my lease, its cool there, oker by building K, there is a bunch of burnout marks and a couple of 3rd gens under car covers. They are some pretty cool neighbors of mine and know alot about cars, I have met with them at the track, and BSed a little with them they have alot fo tools, and are pretty cool. They have an engine hoist in someones apartment. They have done motor swaps and tranny swap in the parking lot. I am hoping to get to know them better when I do my transmission sometime.

I am swithcing to building to I think building I on the first floor. I was sick of 3rd floor apartments and electric bills tend ot go over on 3rd floor apartments sine you jsut have a roof. That and carrrying my 100 lbs. tool box 2 jackstands, adn a hydraulic jack down 3 flights of stairs got old.

anyways if I never spend any time there next year like I don't spend time there now, i am in the process of getting another mototr for my car about $100, I might rebuild it in my bathroom .

iuf you see a guy underneath a dirty blue 4th gen that is sometimes louder then hell, feel free to come over and chat.

hey thats awesome

i saw you doing your rear end swap in the parking garage before i even knew about these boards. if i see a blue 3.4l at northgate lakes i'll be sure to say hi. i've got a '95 3.4l ... hopefully by the time i move in i'll have sold this and gotten a z but its not looking good right now. its really hard to sell a 3.4l

i'm in a second floor apartment in the building to the right as you drive in... not that one just off to the immediate right, but the one on the other side of the trees - so i guess it the second building on the right. the one across the street from the pool / etc. they've moved me around 2 other times so far, so i'm not sure how perminant this one will be. move in day is aug 15.

i hope its worth the $425 ... thats more than half my monthly income

When I used to live at college suites at science drive I used to do"midnight Granprix" through research park. They should make it inot a road course lots of fun back there. Only problem is went thorugh a set of brake pads in 6 months, midas brake pads do not like those 80ish mph- 25mph bake up to 8ish bake down to 15 mph in a matter of 3 min.

Well at the moment I have no exhastu system so if oyu hear a dirty blue Camaro roaring around its me.
