Good place in orlando to install shocks?

i saw a post a long time ago, but couldn't find it when i searched for it. i'm thinking about getting new struts/shocks for my car and wanted to know of a good place to install them. i remember someone getting his done on OBT by some guy who posted on here. if i remember correctly he installed them for a good deal too. let me know if you know of any good shops.

if you have installed springs or shocks on your car and would be willing to do them for me one day that would be cool too, i'll pay you of course.

i think i blew my shocks last week when i was late for work. i was working in a different hotel and drove over a speed bump i didn't see at about 20 mph. the car is a lot bouncier and not still at all. i plan on getting bilstein hd's in a couple weeks, anyone know of the cheapest place to get them from?

I live in Deltona, and I do them. I work Mon thru Fri 8 to 5, so any other time. Figure a few hours and $50. Now would be a good time to do springs too. No extra charge!

Let me know!

mrr23, i'll probably be ordering the shocks in the next couple weeks, sometime after july 10th when i get back from sarasota. my car is lowered w/ rksport (h&r) v6 springs. i want my front end a little lower than it is now, would you recommend cutting a coil or just keeping the tires tucked in a little bit on the alignment? $100 cash sounds good for install and alignment.

well to cut a coil do not do it with a torch. it'll kill the coil. use a cutting wheel. or some other cold method. personally would never do it. when i do the alignment, i'll be setting the camber to -0.50* to -0.75* that will lower the car a little.

Same questions. Do you also work on anything, i.e. a 2wd Blazer? I, of course, do the best work, but don't have alignment or tire machines. and I don't trust any of the shops around here....

They're legit. But for lowered cars, the normal Bilsteins can still be a little weak. Be sure to at least get HD's. Most guys who autocross Have Sam Strano send them back to Bilstein to have them revalved to his specs. Then they're awesome. I'm not sure if he'll revalve them if you don't buy them from him. BTW he still has good prices and also sells the solid 35mm front sway bar that should be on every 4th gen.

i checked the part numbers and they are the same as the HD's on sam's website. i think i'll be fine w/o the revalving. i'll be going from slp take offs to bilstein hd's so that will be a huge improvement right there.
