Good Paint Shop?

I just recently got my '97 T/A about 2 weeks ago and it the stock paint just isn't looking to great.. I'm looking to either paint the car Comp. Orange or Aztek Yellow and I am wondering what is one of the best paint shops around central Florida. I have somehwhat of a deep pocket for this because some people love to key cars and are also stupid enough to get caught and arrested.. Thanks

There was a thread not too long ago on here. A board member "2002Z28SSConv" reccomended a shop by the name of D & G Auto in Longwood, FL. I actually took my car there last Monday and had them repaint the front bumper due to fading and some bug marks. Cost me $300 (same quote I got everywhere else just about) but he did awesome work. He had some real custom looking stuff out front to-so I think he can do some real good work. Their telephone number is 407-260-6434. Talk with either Gary or Dawn.

i've seen 2002z28ssconv's car after being painted and you seriously cannot tell what had been done to it... it looked factory.

Whistler is the best painter I know of in the state. He painted my 94Z Electron Blue.

It didn't look factory though, which is a good thing. Factory paint jobs still have orange peel in them, his does not. His is a mirror finish.

My car had just been painted and he hadn't been able to wetsand it yet when I went to the first car show with it. I parked the car in another parking lot in no way associated with the show because he didn't want me showing it yet (being unfinished). I came back to it 20 min. later to get my phone and there were 20 guys standing around it talking about how awesome the paint job was.

He has a great eye for it as well and can help you pick out the best color. There is actually a brand new color (not a new shade but an entire new type of paint, new the way chameleon paint was new) that is not out yet (you can buy it but no one has really seen it yet) that he has been playig with.

Page him on the board here. His board name is Whistler, real name Chris.

5LITEREATER is right. If you want your car to look really good, you should talk to Whistler (Chris). He just did my engine bay and it looks really good. Your car will look awesome even before it is wet sanded and buffed. BTW, he is in Orlando. I will let him know to check out this post.
