Okay I figured I fried my engine but started it up today with one of the fellow memebers on here witnessing it, the car sounded fine, no noise from the motor, just the normal chatter from not running for a while. And the low coolant light comes on since it went all over the road....but other than that it sounded fine????


wondering if there is anyone out there that can take a look at the car? a shop that could figure out what is wrong with it and not charge me an arm and a leg if it is something big? Also time is also a big thing as far as fixing any problem.

just looking for a good shop..any suggestions and phone numbers email addys??

actually was going to email you but saw your post too. I would rather have someone that knows the LT1 inside and out tell me whats what with the engine. Are you around at all tommorow? after 4PM? or so. I can call you then to make arangements to have the car dropped off at your place..and give you some info.

I have a stumbling "missfire" that has been pointed to many things by the mechanics at Tech 1 Automotive, you think you could take a look at mine as well? I've already paid $150 to have Tech 1 tell me it was the injector wires, replaced all those, and it runs EXACTLY the same. They also guaranteed me 100% that the injectors were bad before that, spent $200, and replaced those, and it ran EXACTLY the same. They told me there was no missfire, and the optispark was fine. I have also replaced the ICM, and the Coil. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this out, the car is almost undrivable after about 15 minutes of running, and the opti was replaced about 30k ago by the last owner. As Caps said, I'd rather have someone look at it that knows the LT1's in and out.

 

The shop is pretty full right now, but if you can leave her here and do not mind that she may have to stay outside overnight, we can get her looked at. Just give me a call.

On the 94 and older LT1's, there is some educated guessing to diagnosis at times when it comes to the opti. Just because the opti was replaced not too long ago does not mean it can't be bad. Gotta love the opti's We can look at yours also. Just call me ahead of time.

what time you open too at the shop??? I get out of work at 3 can I get the car to you sometime around that time? also i do not want to drive it just in case...so it would be flatbedded..and that cost $$$ just to have it looked at...any other option?
