Question fuel in oil

yesterday i tried to start my 91 rs and i realized that the carb was leaking fuel down in to the intake manifold with the fuel pump turned off. I then removed the carb and took it apart to find a fuel float needle stuck with some trash in it. Then i put the carb back together and bolted it back on to the manifold, tried to start the engine again and it was hydrolocked with fuel in the cylinders. I then removed all the spark plugs and drained the fuel out of each cylinder. Went ahead and installed new plugs and then tried to start again, engine did not really want to start, tried a few more times, egine did finally start but only ran for about 5 to 10 seconds. messed with the timming and tried to start again, I then realized that the oil pressure gage was'nt really moving up during engine turn over. I then decided to check the engine oil, to my surprise the oil level was really high, i then felt and smelled the oil and it was mixed with fuel. i then drained the oil and filled with fresh oil and filter, now my only concern is did i damage anything internally trying to start the engine with oil/ gas mixture?

there is a pretty good chance you may have done damage. if it were my car, i would not turn it over again. if you have the ability, start takign it apart. don't chance doing even more damage

oil pressure is to high to suspect any damage, changed oil again and no signs of any metal at all.....runns very smooth and oil pressure is great!
