Red face Friends, pray for me

I'm doing the head gasket and timing chain on the Olds Cutlass tomorrow. Fortunatly I've got Allen giving me a hand, but it's still going to be a bitch. Hopefully a learning experience though, never worked on a DOHC engine. Hopefully everything goes fine, because if anything major goes wrong and the car doesn't get fixed I'm going to toss the thing in the ocean. So yeah, pray for me

I saw a nice convert 5.0 white GT on 427 north of 434 for 3300....

I remember you were looking for a 5.0 for a while...

S. Holley - That's cool, but look at my location Not in FL anymore I would like to have a 5.0 but that''s not going to happen for a while. Thanks for keeping an eye out though.

And just to let you guys know it didn't happen. We didn't even get the head off and gave up because it was taking too long(we only had half a day to do it). Also the car had been sitting under a tree at my girlfreinds house and somehow got a whole lot of moisture in it, so there was mold on everyhting in the interior. It was pretty disgusting. Oh well, I'm just going to put a little work in the Honda and keep driving it until it does(which probab;y won't be anytime soon ).

Yep, still kicking! Though the engine smells pretty bad(not sure why but the exhaust smell could kill you ) and it burns oil. But hey, it hasn't left me stranded like that stupid Olds. I might replace it with a 91 Civic here pretty soon depending on what kind of shape it's in, looking at it today. I just can't afford a car payment because of the headaches. That and Mass excise tax, which is $25 per $1000 your car is worth EACH YEAR!!! Fortunatly the Honda is only $22 per year I'll buy a new car when I move back to Florida, where everything is cheap!
