here's what I found out:
the pipe he has comes "free" with P/N: 30052 SLP long tubes:
http://www.slponline.com/view_produ...ARTNUMBER=30052
"SLP has designed a unique new stainless steel 3" y-pipe to work specifically with these headers. This pipe is included with the headers. "
I was hoping it was P/N: 31035
http://www.slponline.com/view_produ...ARTNUMBER=31035
"SLP Y-pipe assemblies are available for 1998-1999 Camaro/Firebird with V8 engines. Manufactured from 2-1/2" O.D., 409 SS tubing they are mandrel bent for smooth, clean bends with superior flow characteristics. These pipes are designed to replace the factory installed pipe and bolt to your stock exhaust manifolds"
I would think it would be cheaper to modify his Stainless Steel pipe, than to have a regular pipe made, and it would last longer.
he just wants it gone, it's going in the dumpster soon. i'd say it's worth shipping & a few bucks for his trouble to have a SS pipe.
