Finishing up header install Sunday June, 10

I know Jason cant make it, but Mike, Kwiksilverz28 will be here Sunday early. If anyone wants to come we will have food again and beer and drinks. I have the entire day planned for this, so if we get done early, well lets just say drinking beer at our pool bar will comence.

We got the old manifolds off, but found that the engine mounts were shot, so I decided to stop. We also have struts to finish up. Parts are coming.

Let me know if anyone can come.
John

I am planning on early. Probably 8:30 till noon. We ought to be able to get most of it done by then, esp if we can get a 3rd or more...

OK Mike, the mounts are here, and I decided to get the block off plates. Everything is here and waiting for install. I didnt realize it but I need the car Monday, so I hope we can get it done.

Anybody else up for helping?? Kids and wives welcome, my wife and 8 year old daughter will be here too.

Thanks guys
John

Hopefully you got a chance to do the motor mounts. I can throw the struts back in in a few minutes, and I probably have about 4 hours.

See ya about 8:30

The mounts were a pain, but they will last forever, so who cares.

PACESETTER HEADERS ARE THE BEST!!!! They literally slid right in without any modifications. Fit absolutely perfect, tuck up under nicely. They are absolutely what I will be using.

Ordered the headers and catted y-pipe. Need to get motor mounts, new plug wires, will probably replace the O2 sensors. Then decide on which cat back or leave the flowmaster and cutout....

Sounds good. Hopefully yours goes smoother than mine. Jim and I just got done. Apparently I forgot to remove the rag we put in the top of the intake to keep things from falling in. So I fired it up and it sucked it into the intake and got lodged between the one of the intake and exhaust valve on the driver side. So after installing the plug in the top and new belts we couldnt figure out why it wouldnt idle right, then it started rattling, so I shut it off.

So now I have the driver side head sitting on the bench trying to figure out what that rattling was. We got the rag out finally, and The piston looks fine as do the valves in question. So I guess I will have the head checked out and put it back on and see what happens.

I am on vacation all next week anyway, so that Sunday is probably the next time I can work on it anyway. I am waiting on Robert to let me know if somebody has a spare head I can throw on it temporarily, then I can send the extra heads out to have them worked.

Not doing Bassani. Strongly leaning towards GMMG...and selling the cutout. The drone going to Ocala and back was yucko...
