Friend of mine from Clearwater told me that they got a $20.00 fine for having a radar detector. Granted it was on top of a speeding ticket, so that tells you how good the detector was, but I have never hear of such a thing. Detectors are legal in FL, at least I thought they were. Anyone know anything on the subject? Wondering if it's some local law over in Pinellas?

 

Radar Detectors are legal...I dont see how he got the 20$ fine, unless the cop said it was in his view, which then he can wright a ticket, but the court will let that person go. The cop was just being a **** .
