Finally some good news for myself --->

I'm finally going to be a cop. On Monday 2/23/04 I officially get sworn in at Maitland Police Department. It's been a long long process with the Academy and hiring process but i'm finally in. I lost my job last year and could not get hired on anywhere to do insurance. With that and wrecking my car it's been a rough year to say the least. Hopefully Monday will be the start of brighter things!! I have about 4 months of training before they let me loose, I'll keep you guys posted on my progress!! Alright bring on the donut jokes.........

That's awesome Kumar! You get to walk around with a gun, drive someone elses car, and get paid for it

hear a neat story the other day...something like this...

guy goes to college for 4 years, get degree, wants to join FBI. FBI says pack sand, join a local police force and get some actual police experience. or maybe the border patrol.

goes home Mom & Pop;s house, applies for EVERY law enforcement posn avail, Sheriff, Deputy, city cop, Border Patrol, CIA, just everything.

about to give up & go McD's, and gets 2 phone calls on same day:

- uh, yeah, this the Border Patrol in texas (?) you been accepted. you need to buy: a 9mm handgun, 4 sets of working uniforms and a plane ticket to Texas, and report to school, and then we will start paying you.

second phone call:
- this is the Sarasota Deputy office, we want you to report to work for training.
uh yeah, we start paying you when you report to work monday for training, why?

guess who he works for now?

Kumar, sounds like God is answering your prayers. Dude, If I was you, I'd say a big prayer each night before I got in a Squad car. there's some idiots out there.

think Jax had 3 murders in one week in one area, and Fernandina had 2 rapes in $$$ areas last month.

Good luck, and keep us safe.
