Car looks good man. I think if you gave me a little ground we could have a pretty good race. I remember running you on 50 one night coming back from the track. About a year and half ago. I ghave got to hurry up and get some heads.

Later.

Looking good!! I like the classic Welds as well, but can't complain they weigh close to nothing and will hold some good tires. Did you get the infamous pepboys tiny radial for the fronts?

I just read the post again, anyone better watch out for that car running around, he ain't gonna spin, ET Streets baby! gotta love those tires, they wear out quick though on the street.

Jeez Carter, that car's nuts. You hit 10's yet? I thought I heard someone say you did a while back at a meet. 10's on a stock bottom end--yeesh.

I like the cam, but to gett better specs on it, since i havent had it in over 8 months....Talk to Chris (whisper) ... I gave him the cam for his car.

I really like the idle sound it gave me! The cam was made for nitrous as im sure you already knew that....So it would work good with your NOS.

good luck....

Hey Carter, have you looked into one of the reverse split pattern cams? I know that Thunder has been having good luck with them. They look like they give good low end torque without giving up to much up top. Hopefully I will be able to get some heads on my car in the next 6 months or so and maybe start catching back up to some of you guys. What rear are you running now? I know that the old 10 bolt can't take 60' times like that. Who redid your tranny?

Later.

hey jim!
i still have the stock tranny and the stock rear with 3.42 gears and a girdle..but it is not gunna last much longer with 1.3 sixty's...this rear has seen over 40+ passes with sixty foots ranging from 1.55's to 1.3's it is amazing that it has lasted this long...and the tranny is still like new lol i thought it was messing up a while ago..but it turns out it was just fuel starvation problems causing it to surge...so i put a walbro 255lph inline with the stock pump and i picked up a few mph and about 4 tenths lol..so i am happy....but those reverse pattern cams are cool but usually just for all motor cars..im sprayin like a banchee now lol so i need a heavy exhaust cam.but man im tearin the car down for the season very soon and just gettin to work on the biotch..im aiming for 10.0's or 10.20's at around 135 or so....but it will be about march untill i am complete...i am hoping for some 9.90's with the stock bottom end...but i found a guy that can get ls1 heads to flow 315cfm int. @.650 and 250cfm exh. @.650 and i am working on developing a new solid roller cam with stock fly cut pistons to clear so i will still technically have the stock bottom end but im gunna try to get the car down to about 3100 pounds without me in it and a new 4600 stall converter with an flp level 10 tranny and a brake on it. i am gunna keep the stock rear in it also lol and see how long it holds with the 3.42 gears in it.when that blows i will go with a K.T.R.E 12 bolt and a 4.30 or so gear depending on how much mph i can get out of that kind of gear...oh well we will see...later,
carter
