Did I pay Too Much?

I hope I did ok, I just bought a 94 Trans Am. It has power everything, t tops, leather int. ,power seat, 6 speed,104,000 miles. It has a Small quarter sized hole in the leather, but the stuffing isnt coming out, The paint isnt great, it could use a new paint job, but it still shines. Both window motors are dead, and it doesn't have a spare. The tires have about half tread left, And the motor runs great and the tranny shifts smooth, There is an exhaust leak at the header, on the passenger side though.

Its black with grey leather int. I paid $4500 after Tax,Tag,Title, and Dealer fees...

So let me know if you think I overpayed, probably did hope not too much though. The header leak didn't disturb me. I am thinking of doing longtubes, the spare didn't bother me either cause, weight reduction, and I have a spare set of rims already. The window motors are a common thing, just both at once hmm...

And any other lil things I need can be gotten from parts cars.

Sorry about the long post, But did I get royaly screwed, or did I come out fair on this one?

Thanks

I think thats decent. As for the paint not looking perfect a claybar can do wonders on a car.

Window motors are extremely easy to change. Check out Shoebox's site for instructions.

You think everyone paid to much and if they got a deal that it was in a train wreck after it won the gatornationals then was sold to the person.

I'd love to buy an f body after it won the Gatornationals. Then I'd quickly part it out for lots of $$.

Kbb, says with the options you listed(I put cassette deck) and the mileage.

$6700. from a dealer.

For private party listed in fair condition(Its not bad condition since the motor runs and tranny shifts smooth)

$4260.

consider tax, title, tag and and dealre fees were likely more then $240.

Not that bad of a deal.

It has Cd, and radio controls, Theres probably a few more things that I can't remember.
One more question, Is what is the difference between a Trans Am Gt and a Trans Am? It lists on the carfax that it is a Trans Am Gt, and on KBB it has two of them just a Trans Am and the Gt version.

Thanks

I noticed that too?

Does it mean its a WS6? or just a "premium" fully loaded package.

BTW looked it up with the stuff you listed.

Private party value in fair condition. $4,750 And that is before tax title and other fees that woudl likely put it over $5,000

The GT option means you get the regular hi-rise Trans Am spoiler. If you got a regular Trans Am that year you would have gotten the Formula spoiler. Pontiac wasn't sure if people would like the TA spoiler so they made it an option to see if people would actually buy it. Everyone did so they made is standard in 95.

And yeah, you got a great deal! It might need a little cosmetic work, but as long as the mechanicals are in good condition the rest can easily be fixed. Congrats on the new car!
