Seems like a fair price, he says he's selling $2K below book value because he's moving out of town. If that's why he needs a quick sale I'd give him a call, looks like a nice car. Just be wary.

dam that looks like one sweet deal!! if it weren't an automatic i would be all over that!

considering i'm only 100 miles from him and am in search of a Z28 since i totalled mine

run a carfax...quickly then jump on it.

Its a little more then i want to spend, but I might be able to rough it. And like you I am up for a 6-speed. The stuff makes me a little warry, does look to have been autocrossed or road raced, but maybe well taken care of? If he went Baers then he looks to be a little hardcore into racing.

It does look well taken care of, and many people that are heavily into racing take care of their cars quite well for the abuse they put on them. That's something to keep in mind also.
