Damn, decent deal...

Would be cool to get this...

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...or=&cardist=37

Car is a good deal... could be turned into a nice sleeper and be comfortable, and just about any car with 25,000 miles only 5 years old and only $6500 is a deal.

If it was an easy trade almost would be cool to trade straight up for my car and $1k

Would be nice to get cash, and lose a car payment, and get a "better" car.

btw, could F-body rims fit on a W-body? Brian do you know?

I think I would have problems falling asleep at the wheel in that thing.

My GTP Rims are 16X7.5 or 7.... I can run as large as 245 50, but most recommend 235 55 unles I move to a differnt rim combo...

Worst case stock it should run 14.9....Adjust the Boost Bypass, gut the air box, run one hat range colder plugsand fly...

hehe there are a good 50 or so "registered" L67 gusy faster then you...

3 of them would put ~20-25 carlengths on you

FEw hundred and its in the solid 13s... and look like it runs 16-17s

Plus it would have nearly half as many miles as my car, I will lose my car payments, and make at least a grand if not more in differnece of value of car.

I'd put a sunroof on it and be happy

Re: Damn, decent deal...

I would say do it... I am shocked you say it is running so slow. Does it weigh that much more than a Grand Prix GTP? The GTP Stock Runs a WORST as a 4 door of 15.2 a best of 14.6 STOCK… Now do a few little free tweaks like adjusting the boost bypass valve, gutting your air box you will see an improvement. Add a 3.4 Pulley and gain 30HP, remove the Ubend and resonator and gain 10 more… Both can be done for 50 each… So for 100 Bucks add 40 solid HP to your ride… The two door GTP’s stock have run 14.0 to 14.6… I will say it this way any GTP at the speed world never runs worse than 13.9… One runs consistent 12’s and one just got into the 11’s…..

Some mods and prices:

3’’ Down Pipe 159.00
3.4 Pulley 55.00
Fender Well Intake 60.00
Gut Air Box Free
Boost Bypass Free
Remove Drivers Headlight to flow more at Track Free
U Bend and Resonator Delete 50.00
Intercooler 750.00
Better pulleys 55 each
Throttle Body choices, HOLD ON: Stock Ported by you, Free, Stock Ported Stage 1 is 139, Stage 2 is more or add a North star throttle body…
Port your supercharger Free by you or pay a few hundred for it to be done
Buy a better roots unit 500+
Ported Manifolds 250.00 or free if you do it
Headers 400-500

To much to do….

Sorry, but when I was test driving cars right before I bought mine, the GTP coupe couldn't hold a candle to the LT1 Z28 I drove, which is consistently a low 14-second car stock. I'm not knocking the GTP at all, but they don't run a low 14 stock.

Re: Damn, decent deal...

No one would say Eric Runs 14.56 with his ride... I am also refering to the two door models with nothing otherthan free mods like Eric.

I had a LT-1 and overall the acceleration seems almost identical to my 97 stock....

check out clubgp.com

3.4 Inch Pulley Boys Pulley
Goodyear Gatorback Supercharger Belt
Ubend Removal
Custom K&N Intake
B&M Racing Transmission Cooler
1/4 Mile: 14.63 @ 96.09 mph This is off a 99 4 Door with Stereo still in it... Check out the site I loved my Z, but there are a ton of these that would eat a stock LT1 or even a lightly modded one..

Alot of them do they just don't "feel" like they do. I drove a 6-speed accord EX v6, that ran 14.1 at OSW and it still kinda felt like no where near a lt1...

heck my 3.4L felt faster then my 3.8L when I ran it bone stock and the 3.8L was abotu .2-.3 slower then my 3.8L.

Different motors have different feels.

Re: Damn, decent deal...

my GTP ran 14.9-15.0 @ aeound 90-93mph in the summer time. it was a 2 door bone stock.

My buddy down here in daytona has a 2000 GTP 4door. it has a 3.4 pulley, cold air kit, u bend replace, no resonator, cut out and the free mods. Thrasher computer and on 100 octane it went 13.701 @ 103 with a 2.2 60ft.
for an everyday driver i would love to have one.

its amazing to rip stangs in a 4 door car.
