I wanted to take a moment to let you all know of the tragic death of one of our beloved members, tex69camaro.
Those who knew him knew him as "Tex". His real name was Brett Custer. He was known for his gorgeous white '69 Camaro SS and his big Texas hat. He had just moved to Dallas, TX from Florida. He was riding motorcycles with his family in Denton, TX last weekend when he lost control, struck a guardrail and died instantly. He was 25.
He graduated from the University of Florida in 2004. He was a member of our Gainesville car club and we raced together many a night. We talked for hours about school and cars, life and girls. He was a wonderful person, a kind soul and a shining light in this world. He was always a gentleman. Tex had a love for life that few possess. He could put a smile on anyone's face. If you pray, please pray for his family.
Rest in peace, my friend.
