Cool Show at The Social This Weekend(1/25)

A good friend of mine's(actually the cousin of one of my best friends) band is playing Sunday night(the 25th) at The Social on North Orange Ave. The show starts at 5pm, tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. The bands performing are: Sworn Enemy, As I Lay Dying, Himsa and The Autumn Offering(friend's band). Figured I'd give everyone a heads up as they're a pretty good band, and this is the first time they've been on a somewhat big tour(started right after Christmas at the Stillborn Fest). You can listen to some of their music by clicking on the link to their website in my sig.

It should be a great show. Like I posted, this is the first time they've been on a big tour, and it sounds like they've been working their a$$es off. I remember going to their high school battle of the bands to see them perform for the first time. They've come a long way since then. I always whenever I go to one of their shows.

Mike-definitely let me know if you're going to be there. It would be cool to finally meet you after talking on here and AIM so much. BTW, how are your headaches doing? I read the last post about you getting surgery, but haven't been on too much recently to catch any updates.

Brian - Yeah, I'm having another surgery on Feb 18th. This one is minor compared to the first one, just fusing two of my vertebrea's together to fix a herniated disc. The doctor thinks it might be contributing to my headache's but isn't sure. Either way it needs to get fixed though because my hands have been going numb lately!

But yeah, it'd be great to finally meet you after all this time. BTW, what's your AIM SN, I seem to have lost it at some point?

I'm not on there as much as I used to be, but I try to get on once a week to catch up with everyone.

And good luck on your surgery. I hope everything gets worked out for ya. I know from reading all the posts that it's been an ongoing ordeal, which really sucks.

Anyone else want to go to this? Should be fun!

BTW Brian, do you know when they're playing(first, last middle) and what time they're going up?

I haven't spoken to any of the guys in the band recently, but have been told by a few people that they will be the opening act. Which would put them on stage between 5-6pm. I'll try and find some better info on that. FWIW-I plan on being there at 5pm.

Well, the show turned out pretty good. My buddy, the bass player for the Autumn Offering(opening band), said that was the most people they had played for as the opening band. I guess all of them have gotten real bad colds at some point on the tour, so they're pretty drained at this point. Did any CZ28'ers make it out?

I really wanted to go, but I got a crack in my radiator on saturday, so I ended up fixing it sunday(and today). I wish I could have made it! Glad to hear it went well though, hopefully I'll get to see them next time they're around here
