As always there's the beach...lol. As for "going out" there are a couple different options. All the nighclubs are in pretty much the same area, near the intersection of A1A and Seabreeze Blvd. There's 600 North(600 North Atlantic Ave), Razzles(just down Seabreeze from A1A) and Fuel(right around the corner from Razzles on Grandview). Or you could head over to the mainland and hit up The Love Bar(nice bar/pool tables) and Groove(dance club) which are side by side on Beach St in downtown Daytona. There is also the new Ocean Walk Village complex which has a Bubba Gump restaurant, Adobe Gila's(margarita bar/restaurant) and the Mai Tai Bar. There are also some shops and a movie theater in that complex, which is right on the beach.

I believe there's also a car show in New Smyrna Beach the weekend of the 10th(I think it's the 2nd Saturday of every month), which is about 30mins south of Daytona.

I don't know of any bigger events going on during that time, but I can check around. There's always the Speedway and/or the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
