Car smells terrible inside and is overheating.

My car has been smelling bad for the past week. I figured the smell was coolant. It seems to be coming from the A/C. Also, when I was coming home from school tonight, engine temps started shooting up. Luckily I was able to keep moving and get the temp to drop back down.

When I got home, I looked in the radiator and couldn't see any coolant, but I also can't find it anywhere in the engine bay or under the car. Does anyone have an idea of what could be going on, and does anyone know of a good shop near UCF that I could take the car to?

Yep, it's wet. I check the carpet yesterday and it wasn't wet, but I pulled the carpet up and it was there. I guess I'll be bypassing the heater core tomorrow. Thanks for the reply.

It's only $60 from AutoZone for a heater core with a lifetime warranty. Gonna be cold soon, and you are going to need the defroster....

Yeah, after a little more reading I decided to go ahead and replace it.

I never did it on the 3 Camaros I have owned but on a GMC Jimmy its a little bit of a pain, just fitting it up under the dash but no too bad.
