Can anyone help?

The water pump on my Accord just took a crap. Is anyone here any good at working on Honda's, or know what it would take to fix it? The local shop quoted me $500 to fix it and since I'm sick and not really working at all I can't afford to fix it unless I borrow money, which I really don't want to do. So anyone want to help? I've got tools and everything and a garage to work in. I will buy food/beer/soda for anyone that can help.

Nevermind, having the local shop fix it, too much of a pain in the *** to try to do myself.

Usually Zembowers or Z Tech will do timing belt servicing for around $350 or so and that includes the water pump since it is driven by the timing belt. Check around for prices on timing belt service if you haven't taken it in yet. If they know it's broke they'll charge more cause they can. If they think you're just doing maintenance they drop the price a little to not scare you off. At least that's the way it seems to me anyway.

I'd help you out but that's a major job and I don't have the time right now.

I would have shopped around if I could but the car wouldn't hold water for more than a few minutes. Plus I know that Autotronics is a little on the expensive side but they do good work. Unfortunatly it's just one of those things I had to have fixed asap cause I don't have a car until it's fixed.
