BUY a old 84-89 300Z or a mid 80 mazda RX7...

That would be a killer combo... light body that hangles well and strong V8.

You should be able to buy one less than 1000 running... and sell the motor and tranny to help finance your project.

Not trying to busrt anyone's bubble. But I have experience with motor "conversions". Not really a swap, but a conversion instead. There is a ton of work involved and some fabrication depending on what it's going into. If you are not doing the conversion yourself, be prepared to pay a lot of $$$ for someone to do it. There will always be issues with it, I would suggest a 3rd or 4th gen Fbody to put it in. Therefore it will be easier and cheaper. Yeah I've seen RX7 swaps and they are really cool, but it's not a day project to do it. Plus the wiring and fuel system will need to be replaced or fabricated. A big one too is the exhaust.

No trying to discourage anyone, but if you pay someone to do it. Be prepared to pay $$$ and make sure they know what they are doing/getting into. Like with previous experience.

I can get you a mint condition 97 Trans-Am WS-6 for $3000. All it needs is a motor, tranny, and WS-6 Hood (has a stock trans-am hood on it now) and rims (has Z28 rims on it right now). It was a repo. The title is clean and it has under 90K on it.

The car is red with t-tops, and mint leather interior.

My friend and I could also do the work for you. Drop me an e-mail if interested.

BE different ...if you got cash....build the RX7... SO LONG as it is not daily driver...you can for go the comforts... I would think about 3000.00 to do the swap and make it run down the road.
