Best Engine/Performance shop in Florida (tampa/area)

She's going under the knife to see why the engine keeps spinning bearings (3 spun each time at close to 1000 miles on engine). Let me know who you feel is the best shop for the job.
Diagnosing cause of spinning and building an engine properly.

Is it the rod or mains that keep spinning? Who original built the motor for you? I've got a few LT1 under my belt, but do them all out of my garage. I've got a few bare blocks here if you looking to get a new motor built I can help out. Sounds like who ever did/is doing your machine work sucks at checking clearances.

Hey Jason... Marine Performance in Bayonet Point Fl did the work. Yeah I have no idea anymore... I've had another engine builder look at it when I tore it apart and he wasnt sure.. Another engine builder said the first guy jacked it all up with the clearances but wouldnt explain it well.. Either he was right and the shop in Bayonet point screwed everything up or he didnt really know and just saw a messed up engine and said that. I dont know... I may take you up on the bare block as that and the forged rods are the only parts I have not changed. Its had 2 cranks in it and new oil pumps/springs/bearings in it each time.

I found your other post and its the rod bearings that are spinning correct? With a new out of the box crank the journals should be pretty damm close to perfect size for STD/STD bearings. Are you having the whole setup rebalanced after each rebuild?

Another thing to consider, if the rod bearings are spinning then perhaps they were either machined improper from the get go and no one found it out or maybe over torqued the first time causing the caps to distort. When ever a bearings spins you should at least have the rod big end measure and checked if not resized. The Eagle 5140 rods with ARP bolts only get torque to 45ftlbs belive it or not. Since it will be the 3rd time retorquing the rod bolts its time to check stretch on them as well.
