Bent parts, low traction, Viper, and Hulk Hogan
Well, went out to the Midnight Street Drags last night and it was....an experience. Well, I learned quickly that stock pushrods don't like LT4 springs @ 6500rpms. Oh well, I still won both races. Who forgot the water and VHT?!? For the STREET RACE scene they decided to do NO track prep and not fill the waterbox. They were running a pro-tree which was pretty cool. Next, there was a Viper there. Very nice, really cool owner too. He couldn't hook worth anything and almost lost to a N20 stang. Last but not least=- THE HULK HOGAN was at the track! Yeah, no joke, he signed a few autographs and some people were taking home footage of him. No word on what he was driving there.

they don't give any times, its a way for the track to make more money by offering less services, and look good to the public because it supposedly reduces illegal streetracing.
its cool, jsut think it shouyld be cheaper, not more expensive then normal runs, especially if they are not prepping the track, I mean sometimes when they do "prep" the track, I get better traction on the street, then at the track.

The Viper is in my car club, not CFFB but FUELSLUT, and his brother was also there; don't know if you saw him but he had the red C5 with 20's up front and 22's outback. I saw times for the Viper once, bone stock, 12.01@121mph, obviously no traction according to those trap speeds.
EDIT: I dont know if you saw but Hogan was driving a Supra, he said it was his son's.

Yeah there was a post about the Hulkster being in Orlando on the Supra board:

Saturday was an interesting evening for sure. Seemed like the crowd has got even bigger than the last event. I had a good time running my truck with some good races.
No B/S just line up and race for the crowd. Tracked seemed to cater to the faster cars giving us more passes if we wanted but that’s what people want to see I guess. :-)
The track was preped once at the beggining of the night but no water in the burnout box or VHT, however you are welcome to provide your own water and VHT if you want. They will just not do it for you.
If you havent checked it out already its surely something to see. I know they have planned another one for next month on the 1st Saturday of the month. Hope to see you all out there.

Which supra was Hogan driving? There were a shee'yat-load out there. Man, that vette w/ the big wheels look fantastic and still went like stink. I'd say he would'a ate that viper. By the looks of it I'd say he was going 11mids-highs even w/out track prep and those dinky tires. There's only one reason I won't protest the cost out there....they turn their heads and pay no attention to the hords of illegal gambling and said NOTHING about cars going easy 11s w/out a helmet, suit, cage, or anything. Some would say this is bad but I say I know my risks and take them no money for a cage, helmet, suit, driveshaft safety loop, etc. right now
