A 1LE or a 35th Anniversary?

All 2002's have the anniversary plate on the dash. The 1LE's have the stripes, wheels and rear panel CAMARO fill-in's too I think. Otherwise there is no big difference.

There isn't too much to look for as far as problems go. Be sure to get the plastic top covers and bag. Some people pull them out of the trunk and forget they even have them. Check the rubber seals at the top corners of the windshield where the top hits. There should be a ball shaped rubber seal on the top that settles into a little pocket on the windshield seal. Sometimes the seals don't hit just right when the car is new and the seal might be folded over and crimped. This usually happens on the passenger side more often since you can't see it. You can point out such a problem and use it to your advantage when negotiating price but if you take 2 seconds and make sure you straighten it out every time you close the top it will eventually fix the problem and you can stop checking it so often. The rubber pads on the top latches always fall off after a couple years. Just use some contact cement and put them back on if they're not lost.

I recommend the SS convertible. Fast! Fun! Sexy! And did I say FUN?!? I just bought my 5th set of tires for mine? Of course 3 of those sets were race only tires but it still sounds scary!

ok so i went and looked at it today again, took the camera this time around and got some 1600x1200 pics of it, tho it had just finished storming (just short of hail but i was in the weather from start to finish and there was no hail) so when it was pulled into the garage by the dealer, he wiped it down for me so i could take some pics.. here they are

didn't check the seals tho as the top was still wet :/

I think you need to run a carfax on it. They aren't asking near enough for it. lol

I'd still offer real low like 20 or 21 and see what happens though. Then come back and stick real hard on 22. Don't let it slip through your fingers either. That's a nice ride if it isn't wrecked. I'm tempted to stop by just to look at it.

Mine only has 39 and a half.

But you probably didn't mean 'thousands'. It should be a crime to NOT drive a car this fun!

So did ya get it? I went and looked at it today. VERY NICE!!! Like you said - absolutely flawless. I talked to the guy inside and he said it was sold. Then he called me back later to see if I knew anybody that wanted one. It seems the buyer from Daytona walked because it only had one key fob. WTF!?! You can buy a new one for $40. I didn't know if this was you or not. lol

Trade value is $23,650 for cripes sake! They were only asking $24,800. $5,000 under retail! How good of a deal did you get them down to?

If you're concerned whether it's a clone or not, check the RPO sticker on the drivers side and make sure it has the code WU8 (means it's an SS) and the code Z4C (means it's an LE).

good luck, hope you get it!!
