Anyone local know anything about nitrous that can help me out

I am buying a used nitrous setup and could use some help with setup and making sure everything works and is ok. I do not know anything about it but want better numbers for less money. I also do not want to blow anything up because of stupidity, or ingorance.

Thanks

I am not sure what kind it is yet, but the price is right. It has a nozzle in the intake elbo after the MAF and before the throttle body. Other than that I have no idea. I am going one evening this week to look at it.

Can you help with it? I have the place to work on it and the tools, I have just never messed with nitrous.

Thankls

mine was the nos 05176 dry kit. it had the nozzle to go just in front of the TB in the elbow. two n20 soleniods inline with a t in the middle. had a vacuum line to the regulator to close it off when you hit the button. also has an inline fuel pump for the added flow needed.

yes i can help. let me know when you are ready to install it.

It is still on the car and the guy just bought the car with it allready installed. So I will have to kinda know what all goes with the system myself to make sure I get it all. I will try to find a parts list somewhere.

Thanks, I will let you know when I plan on installing it.

I picked it up tonight. I hope I have everything to install it. It looks like I do. I was planning on doing it this weekend if anyone wants to hang out or help.

mrr23--it is the same system you mentioned but without the inline fuel pump. What kind of fuel pressure is necessary? I have a Walbro 255 in there now but I dont know if I trust it.

Thanks
John

fuel pressure will reach toards 80 psi. you may want to call nos and see if the walbro will be enough. if not, then get theres or the msd pump i have 2225

I can tell you right now it is not enough. It is sitting around 41psi at idle and does not move much when you wrap it up.

it will only go up when you hit the button and close off the regulator with the n2o. the added fuel pump basically doubles the volume. i would get an inline pump to go along with it. preferably the nos one.

On their website the highest one seems to be the 255. I was told when I bought it that it would be plenty. But now it seems to have the same pressure as the origional.

Oh well we can get it all plumbed and electrified and then get that later. Im not going to get to the track right away anyway.

Thanks

just remember you will have two fuel pumps going at the same time. call them and see what fuel pump comes in the 05176 kit.

I have been asking questions on the N2O board and somebody said the blue vacuum valve in the middle of the 2 selonoids attatches to the FPR somehow to increase the fuel pressure. Is that correct?

I am installing it all on Saturday. Then Sunday it looks like I have to help someone install a fuel tank in his Z.

Thanks
John

two n20 soleniods inline with a t in the middle. had a vacuum line to the regulator to close it off when you hit the button. as i stated in an above post. you will also use a t so the regulator will function normally.

OH OK, now I get it. I missed where you said regulator. I was thinking of something else when you said that. So it would appear we will know the true pressure once we set it all up.

THanks again
John
