anyone know someone interested in trading '94Z for an 84-90 vette in FL?
anyone know someone interested in trading '94Z for an 84-90 vette in FL?
I've been looking for a '84--90 corvette to use as a toy, but something that can kep it's value more than my '94 Z. Wouldn't really even care if it needed drivetrain work, as long as it isn't all ate up.
nothing really wrong with the Z, runs great, no smoke or anything. 108k miles on shortblock. Need a new front bumper cover (2" tear), recent parts as listed in the sig. I'd prefer to keep the Z and buy a 'vette, but that's not possible right now. It's black with a grey cloth interior and C5 wheels with new rubber. New T-56 trans, clutch, hydraulics (converted A4), recent cam, radiator, exhaust...lots of new parts. Anyone know of someone who might be interested? If not I'll just keep the Z and put some ported LT1 heads on it and upgrade to the CC306 I have in the garage
Would make a nice driver car/ toy.

Cool! I want a vette and that sounds like the year I need. Can you tell me more about it, or where I can get more info? Trans?
mileage? Let me know. dhirocz@yahoo.com

its red, has 95k on it, hasnt been driven for about 3 years until just recently cause my bird has been down and i have been using it as my daily driver, paint is really nice(i think its original) previous owner was a pilot, so hardly drove it, but went cross country alot so that why its up in the miles, small oil drippage right onto the catalitic converter and it puts up some smoke every now and again...brand new radiator installed about a month ago. full red leather interior, rag top just had rear window plastic redone, gets GREAT gas mileage, i pull about 24 or 25 mpg out of it. think it has 3.08 rear gear, 245hp 345tq or something like that. its a really nice car honestly, i love driving it even though i think its slow. but i will talk with her about it and see what she wants to do as technically it still is her car.
OK, just let me know.
Just FYI, with the cam and exhaust, my Z can still drive from Tallahassee to Cape Coral on one full tank=) cruising down I-75 which is about 375 miles, from full to fumes. Somewhere around 26 mpg. I was rather impressed. Minimal cam surge, nice rumbling idle. (SLP cam, identical to XE 224/230 cam)Drives great around town and turns heads especially on decel; no driveability issues. My guess is that it's around 360 HP, give or take a few. Plenty of midrange torque for a stock-headed car.
Have some new parts to include as well. subframe connectors, strut tower brace and fuel pump to name a few.
I know that's a 350 TPI motor, does that have the ZF 6-speed or a 700-R4? From the sound of the 3.08 rear gears, it's probably an A4.
I'm sure it's slower than my Z, but it's no big deal. I already have my '86 IROC I'm using as a speed freak. Anyway, nice car, maybe we an work something out. If she's seriously interested, leave me a phone number where I can contact you so we can discuss this in more detail. Thanks for the interest.
