4.3 V8 baby lt1

i bought this thing thinking it was a 5.7 i have the pcm radiator and complete engine minus A/c all needed is wiring harness 500 for the whole thing please post or call 407 970 6253 if close by a will deliver motor has 67,000 miles on it

Uhhh... I thought all LT1's were 5.7. What is this 4.3 LT1 you speak of?

I think he means the 4.8L that was used in some caprices with the lt1 intake etc

a 4.3 is a v6

A 4.3 is basically a 350 w/ 2 cylinders chopped off...but I don't see how it could be mistaken for an LT1 though.

No, he's right, there was a 4.3L V8 that I believe was used in 9C1s.

It was the L99 I believe. 4.3l v8, it was the base motor for the caprice during the 94-96 model years, with the LT1 being the optional motor if I am correct. They look almost identical to LT1's...

They look exactly identical from the outside. The cylinders are just smaller.

yes i learned the hard way also i bought the damn thing thinking it was a 5.7 it looks just like the lt1 no difference except for block casting

yea had 1 to there weak motors no power ...couldnt hardly give it away.
