A few things off the top of my head

V6 had
5spd vs 6spd
different bell housing for A4 (4L60e)
open rear vs posi
drum brakes vs disc brakes
motor mounts different <----pretty sure about this one

everything engine related is different of coarse (intake, ignition, Pcm tuning, waterpump etc)

You can get by w/ the open rear for a while... it wouldn't HAVE to be done when the LT1 is dropped in. It would be nice of course to have rear disc though and the traction of posi.

I'm assuming that you'll be buying a complete engine/trans swap? You'll need an LT1 k-member w/ the LT1 motor mounts... the rest of the front suspension is the same. If you go to an automatic I'm pretty sure you'll need to swap out the radiators for coolant purposes. Also you would want to put in the LT1 dual fans.

You'll probably want to swap out the driveshaft since its a 2-piece w/ the V6 although it wouldn't be required immediately.

You could keep the gauge cluster that the V6 came w/ but the RPM's would be off due to the V8 sending out 8 pulses v/s the 6 pulses of a V6 so the RPM's will read higher.

You'd need to swap out at least the front springs with the V8 springs to help hold up the heavier V8 motor. Some guys put V6 springs in the rear to help the car shift weight to the rear tires so it'd be up to you if you wanted to swap out

The fuel pump and lines wouldn't need to be changed out.

Too bad you're located in IL... shipping costs would probably be more than they're worth but I do have 2 front struts off an LT1 V8 w/ the shocks/springs, I do have a set *front/rear* of stock springs off an LS1 Z that had been professional cut by a machine shop to give the car roughly a 1.75" drop, I bought them off another board member a couple of months back but changed my mind installing them since I'm going to be running LT's in the near future. I also have a bare LT1 K-member w/ the brake lines and such cut and I have a single piece steel driveshaft off a '97 Z w/ just 27K miles on it. Since this car is a project you'd be able to pull the front suspension off and swap everything over anyways. If you happen to be interested in any of those then I'd be more than happy to work with you although like I mentioned before... they're heavy items and shipping would be fairly high.

Well heres the thing. Im building this to Drag race(Streetrace) but also Somewhat of a Daily driver.
Front springs are staying in(W/T).

I have a line up on a complete 97
Harness/Trans/engine/Dshaft/Rearend/Radiator/Kmember for 2200 bucks. It has 70k on it. What do you think? Is that a Good deal?
