Why won't my left blinker work?

I checked all the brake light bulbs and they seem to be good and so does the front turn signal bulb. My right blinker works fine but the left one just stays solid. I do have sequential taillights and all the wires seem to be hooked up well and clean. Could it be my flasher module?

The wires you say are hooked up good and clean, but did you test for power. I would take and test for power coming to the wires first.

I think Shoebox said before that it is the turn signal flasher, I am also have the same problem. Do you four ways, or hazard lights, whatever you call them, still work?

Yes my hazards work. I examined the bulbs carefully and they look good but the front one I was not able to test to see if it flashed. It did look fine though.

I did not, however, check the third brake light or reverse lights. I did not think that they would affect anything.

A little more info.......Last fall just before putting the car away, my left front driving light (the orange one that stays on when I'm driving) stopped working about 10 different times. It would work and then it wouldn't. I just got the car out a week ago and it's been fine and looks fine.

I'll have to put a different bulb in that one and try it.

I still think it is the turn signal flasher itself though, I am going to be trying it on my car sometime soon.

I had the same problem. It turned out to be the flasher even though both sides still worked when I turned my hazards on. Apparently, just part of your flasher can go bad. And before anyone gets smart, 94's only have 1.

When I had this problem, it turned out a ground wire was f*** up.
A McGuyver fella rewired the whole taillight assy, b/c the euro rules here... Indeed he did a VERY good job...

I assume you have DRLs. The element that stays on for the DRL is the same one for the turn signal. If the front bulb is suspect change it out. The signal won't flash if the element is bad. Also, when you are checking bulbs and sockets, make sure you look at the bottom contacts on the bulbs. They can get hot and the solder melt, causing a high resistance short that will cause intermittent problems or just poor connectivity. Install bulbs with some bulb grease or white (lithium) grease. It keeps moisture and contamination out, thereby retarding corrosion.

Make sure you opt for the halogen replacement bulb fluid. It's much better quality, you know, similar to synthetic motor oil of blinker fluids.

I had a similar issue except mine would do that unless I had the steering wheel tilted all the way up. I had the stalk replaced and it worked fine since then. Just thought I would add that to the mix.
