Has anyone unplugged there's before for testing? Will it allow you to go into reverse in that case and if so do you get an SES light?

Also, can you get one anywhere else than the delaership? The local parts houses here do not carry them.

If its quite a bit harder than normal- moving the shifter to the right then its probably your solenoid. It should still allow you to go in reverse. I disconnected mine and i can still go in reverse. just harder to push the shifter over.

Jason Cromer and Dal work at dealerships but they wont rape you on the price of the solenoid.

The problem I was having was that I could go into reverse but it would pop out of gear. I would have to push the shifter forward (holding it in place) so that the car would bakc up and it would still pop out of gear. The shifter would move over fine though. Now since saturday the shifter is a bit harder to get over to reverse.

I am just curious if the reverse lockout solenoid has been the issue the whole time and not the reverse synchros.

If it pops out of reverse its a bent shift fork or damaged sliding assembly.... The solenoid will not kick it out of gear.

Limige - your solenoid reverse lock out was probably bad when that happened... now u got a couple problems to fix.

D&D performance actually carries the t-56 parts. Cheapest place you'll find the parts new.
