Where can I get a air bag setup for the rear?
Where can I get a air bag setup for the rear?
I wanna get a single air bag to preload the suspension at the track. I guess something similar to what comes with the Eibach drag launch kit. Any suggestions??

Is this the one that I need?

There are also a bunch that have different part #'s but no decsription of what they would work on. The one above is the only one that seems like it is correct.

The bag should have come with a bottom "insulator" pad to protect the bag from the spring seat edges. Unbolt the shocks, lower the axle slowly, the springs will fall out. Put the insulator pad inside the bottom of the spring, on top of the seat. Clip the hose to the tit on the bottom of the bag and thread the hose through the hole in the insulator, put the bag in the spring and jack the axle back up, making sure the rubber seat is still in the recess at the top of the spring, and the spring is mounted correctly in it. Rebolt shocks.
Take the hose, route it to the end of the axle and up to where you want to mount the valve. Make sure you leave enough slack for the axle to go to full drop. Use nylon ties to hold it on the axle, and to the body. I mounted the valve through the sheetmetal so the top was inside the hatch well, and ran the line from the axle, through a small hole on the inner fender liner, and up to the valve. You need tiny spring clips to hold the hose to the bag and to the valve stem.
Always run the bag with at least 5# of air. At the track, start with 15# and then raise it or lower it for the best traction.

In this pic, you can see the rubber pad at the bottom of the spring, the hose coming out the bottom, curving up at the end of the axle, then sticking through the hole into the outer side of the inner fender.
